The Stillwater Police Department Canine Unit utilizes highly trained police canines to assist in a variety of specialized, and often dangerous, circumstances. The canines have proven to be an extremely valuable resource in the effective investigation and suppression of criminal activity. The K-9 Officers are assigned to the unit full time and work on regular scheduled patrol shifts. They are also on-call and available for use by patrol division, special operations team, special projects drug investigators as well as being regularly utilized by surrounding law enforcement agencies.
